Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 October 2026These Terms govern your use of the SCOPIEL Chrome extension and the website scopiel.extention.in (together, the “Service”). By installing or using SCOPIEL you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SCOPIEL replaces your Chrome new tab page with a personal dashboard that includes search, shortcuts, notes, tasks, a focus timer, wallpapers and optional cloud sync. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract. You may use parts of SCOPIEL without an account. Signing in uses your Google account; you are responsible for keeping it secure and for all activity under it.
3. Free trial, subscriptions and payment
- Free trial. New accounts get one month free. No payment is taken to start the trial.
- Plans. After the trial, paid features require a subscription: $4 per month or $30 per year (or the INR amount shown at checkout, currently ₹349 / ₹2,499). Prices may change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
- Payment. Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal or UPI). We do not store your card or bank details. Applicable taxes may be added.
- Renewal and cancellation. You can stop renewing at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
- Without an active plan, premium features may be restricted. Your locally stored notes and tasks remain on your device.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law or infringe others’ rights; reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the Service or our servers; bypass payment, trial or access controls; attempt to access other users’ data; upload malicious, unlawful or infringing content; or use the Service to harass, defraud or harm others.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the notes, tasks, images and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to store, sync and display it solely to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to use any wallpaper you upload. Wallpapers you upload remain on your device.
6. Our rights and third-party material
SCOPIEL’s software, design, name and logo belong to the developer and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the extension for your own use. Built-in wallpapers are provided by third parties such as Unsplash and Wikimedia under their own licences and remain the property of their authors. Third-party names and logos shown for your shortcuts belong to their owners.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Syncing depends on third-party infrastructure. We may update the extension automatically through the Chrome Web Store. Keep your own copies of important notes (export is available in the app).
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Weather and similar information come from third parties and may be inaccurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 10 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and consumers keep any statutory rights that cannot be waived.
11. Termination
You may stop using SCOPIEL at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your country, the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India have jurisdiction. Please contact us first at support@scopiel.extention.in so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
